About
About Nursing Home Admin Prep
Nursing Home Admin Prep is a neutral, publicly-sourced reference for people becoming, or moving, a licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA). It answers the one question no national question bank will: what does licensure take in your state, and can your license move to another one?
Who runs it
The site is published by Urban Algorithm LLC, an independent studio. We are not a state board, we are not the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB), and we are not affiliated with any exam-prep or continuing-education seller. You can reach us through the Urban Algorithm contact page.
How the data is compiled
Nursing Home Administrator licensing is administered by 50 state boards plus the District of Columbia, and the requirements diverge on nearly every axis: Administrator-in-Training (AIT) hours, the education floor, whether a separate state exam sits atop the national NAB CORE of Knowledge and Nursing Home Administrator exams, fees, continuing-education (CE) hours, and reciprocity. We compile those requirements into one dated, comparative matrix, drawn field by field from each board's own page or rule. Every figure carries the date it was last checked against its official source and a link to that source. Requirements are facts, not our opinion; when a board changes a rule, our figure changes with it, and we show only jurisdictions we have actually verified.
Why we sell no course
We sell no course and no question bank. The value here is the honest, neutral answer, which a seller with a course to move cannot credibly give. If a page ever links a paid resource, it is clearly disclosed and never changes the answer the tools and matrix give. Practice questions, where we offer any, are authored originally from the public NAB domains-of-practice blueprint, never lifted from any bank.
