Administrator-in-Training hours

• 480 hours: A long-term care administration practicum of at least 480 hours, completed in not more than three practice settings, conducted by an accredited college or university or an equivalent board-approved training practicum. Portions may be substituted: a board-approved adult care home operator course counts for 20 hours, and each year of qualifying prior work experience (as a Kansas-licensed hospital administrator who also supervised the hospital's long-term care unit, or as an adult care home administrator licensed in another state), up to 6 years, counts for 40 hours.
