The Director may waive or reduce hours for equivalent practical experience (Rule 2.3(c)).

Reciprocity / endorsement

Section 2059 and Rule 2.5 let the Director issue a license without the NAB competency exam to an applicant who holds a current, substantially-equivalent out-of-state license; Vermont's own jurisprudence exam is still required. Rule 2.3(d) separately waives Vermont's own AIT program for an applicant who completed a substantially equivalent AIT program in another state.
