Education floor

A bachelor's degree A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required (079-2 Wyo. Code R. Section 2-2(a)). The Board may waive the bachelor's requirement for an applicant holding at least an associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Long Term Care Administration, Gerontology, Nursing, or another healthcare or business-related discipline the Board deems acceptable (Section 2-2(c)). Administrator-in-Training hours

500 hours

• 500 hours: 500 hours of administrator-in-training under a Board-approved preceptor, at least 8 hours of which must be direct training with the preceptor in person or by videoconference, or an equivalent AIT program completed in another state (079-2 Wyo. Code R. Section 2-3(a)). The Board may waive this requirement for a candidate with 2 or more years of experience as a nursing home or similar facility administrator within the last 5 years, or who meets NAB's Health Services Executive (HSE) qualifications as in effect on January 1, 2017 (Section 2-3(b)).

National NAB exams
